SUMMARY:Hands On! Workshop “Research Data Management” (JupyterNotebook)
DESCRIPTION:Research Data Management is essential. It is not only demanded more and more by third party funder (e.g. DFG) but it helps to stay organized and understand your data even in years to come.\nSometimes only small changes will make a big difference and help you to meet the standards described as Good Scientific Practice. And the better your data is structured the less time you need searching for files or puzzling over data columns – and you have more time for your actual research. In a joint-venture of the Graduate School “Gut-Liver Axis” and CRC1382 “Gut-Liver Axis” monthly held hands-on workshops will be offered by the Data Steward of CRC 1382\, Lukas C. Bossert. In these workshops practical tips on current and selected topics of the research data lifecycle will be discussed and can be used and applied directly. \nThese workshops are forPhD students\, Post-docs\, PIs or friends of CRC1382.\nMembers of the Segment Molecular and Cellular Biology are of course also very welcome. \nRegister in advance for this meeting. \nAfter registering\, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. \n\n\n\nThis session will be about data analysis and publication with JupyterNotebook.\nCheck in advance if you have access to jupyter.rwth-aachen.de \n\nWe are looking forward to seeing you\,\nChristin and Lukas

SUMMARY:'Gut\, Liver and Friends' Seminar with Stefan Jordan\, Charité Berlin
DESCRIPTION:Stefan Jordan is scientist at the Charite – Universiätsmedizin Berlin. He is the Head of the Laboratory of Microbiology\, Metabolism and Inflammation (LoMMI) at the Institute of Microbiology\, Infectious Diseases and Immunology. \nUsing basic and clinical research Stefan Jordan and his team investigate how the dietary energy metabolism controls the homeostasis and function of immune cells in body tissues during the development and progression of systemic inflammatory diseases\, and the role of the microbiome in these processes. His goal is to develop novel immunomodulatory therapies for the prevention and treatment of chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. \nThe title of his talk is: \n‘Microbiome\, Metabolism\, Inflammation: Dietary energy in the regulation of immune cell homeostasis and function’ \n  \nFurther reading: \nPaper: PMID: 31442403 \n

SUMMARY:Hands On! Workshop “Research Data Management”
\n\n\nThis session will be about \n\nDATA SHEETS: “Improve and Organize Your Spreadsheet” \n\nWe are looking forward to seeing you\,\nChristin and Lukas
