SUMMARY:Hands On! Workshop “Research Data Management” (Wikidata)
DESCRIPTION:Research Data Management is essential. It is not only demanded more and more by third party funder (e.g. DFG) but it helps to stay organized and understand your data even in years to come.\nSometimes only small changes will make a big difference and help you to meet the standards described as Good Scientific Practice. And the better your data is structured the less time you need searching for files or puzzling over data columns – and you have more time for your actual research. In a joint-venture of the Graduate School “Gut-Liver Axis” and CRC1382 “Gut-Liver Axis” monthly held hands-on workshops will be offered by the Data Steward of CRC 1382\, Lukas C. Bossert. In these workshops practical tips on current and selected topics of the research data lifecycle will be discussed and can be used and applied directly. \nThese workshops are forPhD students\, Post-docs\, PIs or friends of CRC1382.\nMembers of the Segment Molecular and Cellular Biology are of course also very welcome. \n\nRegister in advance for this meeting. \n\nAfter registering\, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. \n\n\n\nIn this session we will explore the platform Wikidata and do some queries. \n\nWe are looking forward to seeing you\,\nChristin and Lukas

SUMMARY:'Gut\, Liver and Friends' Seminar with Zania Stamataki
DESCRIPTION:The Stamataki Lab in Birmingham\, UK\, studies how immune cells in the liver microenvironment contribute to disease pathogenesis. \nOne focus of the group is to understand the process of encclysis. Enclysis is the enclosure and lysis of regulatory T cells by hepatocytes. A first paper on this new process was released in November 2019 (Davies et al.\, Cell Reports 2019). Recent woork aims at exploring ways to use this pathway for the benefit of patients with liver diseases and liver cancer. \nThe title of the talk is \n“Enclysis – How hepatocytes engulf and delete Treg cells”
