CRC1382 Project Day in April 2024

On 14th of April, the CRC1382 consortium met in Super C of the RWTH Aachen for the second out of three project days in 2024. Here, the participants discussed the progress of their work, connected with each other and exchanged their ideas. With almost 60 CRC members joining the meeting, the coffee breaks have been taken well advantage of to dive deeper into discussion initiated during the progress talks.

We also could welcome Sanne Maas in the CRC1382 team. Sanne is working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Institute for Molecular Cardiovascular Research in Aachen. Within the CRC1382 she will investigate the role of kinases in the gut-liver axis. Sanne is supported via the Rising Star initiative of the CRC1382, supporting outstanding postdocs early in their career and promoting gender and diversity.

Furthermore, being in the second funding period of the CRC1382, plenty of students finalised their thesis and new students have started with their project. The new PhD students greatly used the stage of the project day to introduce themselves shortly to the consortium.

We are looking forward to the third project day in November this year.
