Gut, Liver and Friends meet the inflammasome

On May 21st, 2025, Matthew Mangan from the Institute of Medical Microbiology, Immunology and Hygiene at University Hospital in Cologne was the speaker at our regular “Gut, Liver and Friends” seminar.

Titled “Cytosolic sodium accumulation is a common danger signal triggering endocytic dysfunction and NLRP3 inflammasome activation”, Matthew gave a brilliant talk and detailed insight into his recent and ongoing research.
