Annual CRC1382 retreat 2025

At the beginning of autumn 2025, the CRC 1382 Gut-Liver Axis held its annual retreat. It has already become a tradition for the meeting to take place in the beautiful Kall area, at the Steinfeld monastery. Those two days were filled again with a lot of great science and fun. Scientific data was discussed, new collaborations fostered and young female researcher used the stage ideally to introduce their work and apply for Rising Star funding. Despite the abundance of scientific exchange, there was still plenty of time for other activities, such as a long walk, Kubb or volleyball. The first evening drew to a close with a premiere for our CRC: a pub quiz. It was such a great success that participants were already calling for it to be held again next year.

On the second day, plenty of time was spent exploring the direction of the upcoming third funding period. Additionally, PhD students and postdoctoral researchers could learn about potential career paths in the pharmaceutical industry.

The calendars are marked for June 2026, when the second International CRC Symposium will take place in Aachen.
