Bacteria, Bile and Beyond

CRC1382@RWTH Science Night “5 to 12”

The RWTH Science Night is a fantastic event!

For one night, young and old alike can gain a colorful insight into all facets of research and teaching at RWTH Aachen University. A colorful mix of lectures, guided tours, and hands-on stands—there’s something for everyone!

Our CRC1382 hands-on stand was well attended throughout the evening.

“What does the intestine have to do with the liver?” “Who lives and swims in our feces?” “And why is our poo sometimes brown, sometimes green, and sometimes even pale white?” “What can we do to ensure a healthy microbiome?” “And what is the truth about probiotic (magic?) drinks and capsules?”

So many issues concerning gut and liver! Our international team of CRC1382 postdocs and PhD students tried our best to address all issues and  had a lot of fun!

Thank you to everyone involved for their commitment and to the CRC1382 “Outreach” Team for the great preparation and organization!
