CRC1382 PI Adrien Guillot is a partner in the transnational PSC research project “ASCENT-PSC” funded by European Rare Diseases Research Alliance
We are delighted to share that CRC1382 PI Adrien Guillot has been selected for funding in the newly launched transnational PSC research initiative ASCENT‑PSC. This ambitious international collaboration is supported by the European Rare Diseases Research Alliance (ERDERA).
The ASCENT‑PSC consortium brings together leading experts to advance our understanding of primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC). The project aims to:
- Build a comprehensive cellular and molecular atlas of PSC
- Develop innovative disease models
- Explore how immune-based therapies can modulate fibrogenic processes
This integrated research effort is designed to be transformative, driving forward discoveries that will ultimately enable new therapeutic options for patients with rare liver diseases.
A key element of ASCENT‑PSC is its patient‑partnered research framework. This novel approach that ensures patients play a central and active role in shaping research directions and accelerating progress toward meaningful treatments.
We congratulate Adrien on this prestigious achievement and look forward to the important advances that will emerge from this collaborative effort.
