‘Gut, Liver and Friends’ Seminar with Stefan Jordan, Charité Berlin
3. November 2021 @ 15:30 - 16:30
Stefan Jordan is scientist at the Charite – Universiätsmedizin Berlin. He is the Head of the Laboratory of Microbiology, Metabolism and Inflammation (LoMMI) at the Institute of Microbiology, Infectious Diseases and Immunology.
Using basic and clinical research Stefan Jordan and his team investigate how the dietary energy metabolism controls the homeostasis and function of immune cells in body tissues during the development and progression of systemic inflammatory diseases, and the role of the microbiome in these processes. His goal is to develop novel immunomodulatory therapies for the prevention and treatment of chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.
The title of his talk is:
‘Microbiome, Metabolism, Inflammation: Dietary energy in the regulation of immune cell homeostasis and function’
